NIKON TO RELEASE NEW FIRMWARE FOR THE Z 7, Z 6, Z 5, AND Z 50 MIRRORLESS CAMERAS

SINGAPORE – Nikon Singapore Pte. Ltd. is pleased to announce that firmware Ver. 3.40 for the Z 7 and Z 6, firmware Ver. 1.20 for the Z 5, and firmware Ver. 2.20 for the Z 50, will be released on November 10th.

Firmware Ver. 3.40 for the Z 7 and Z 6, firmware Ver 1.20 for the Z 5, and firmware Ver. 2.20 for the Z 50 will offer increased AF performance. AF usability is increased when shooting AF in low light situations, through improvements to detection performance in scenes where it was difficult to detect faces and eyes when using an external speedlight, as well as improved subject visibility during live view shooting through the viewfinder or monitor.

Firmware Ver. 3.40 for the Z 7 and Z 6 will include improved tracking frames used for face and eye detection, as well as subject-tracking AF. Additionally, eye detection will be effective for smaller faces, enabling smoother and more stable shooting.
