Each participant (or his/her parent/guardian, as may be applicable) who registers for the photography trip package (“Package”), agrees to be bound by the terms and conditions set out below:

1.     The stated price is valid for the individual Package only, and only when purchased through Nikon School. 

2.     The individual Package is offered at a promotional / discounted price against standard rates on a first-come-first-served basis. This offer cannot be combined with other promotions, packages, and gift certificates.

3.     The stated price may be subject to changes at Nikon School’s discretion should there be any increase in costs, charges / surcharges and/or fluctuation in exchange rate. 

4.     Subject to the other terms and conditions stated herein, each participant’s registration for the individual Package shall be secured only after full payment for the photography trip package has been received by Nikon School and written confirmation of the participant’s successful registration has been communicated to the participant by Nikon School. 

5.     Following a participant’s successful registration for the photography trip, no replacement or substitution of the participant shall be entertained by Nikon School.

6.     The photography trip will be confirmed by Nikon School only if the minimum number of participants is met. All deposits and any charges/surcharges paid will be refunded in full if the minimum number of participants is not met and participants will be informed by Nikon School accordingly.

7.     The photography trip is open to users of all brands of Mirrorless cameras, DSLR cameras or cameras with interchangeable lens(es). Due to limited spaces, priority will be allocated to owners of Nikon cameras who provide adequate proof of purchase to Nikon School.

8.     All participants are required to bring their own camera and camera equipment. All participants shall be personally responsible for the safekeeping and upkeep of their own camera and camera equipment during the photography trip.

9.     While film cameras may be used, film camera users are advised that they may not fully benefit from any editing and critique session provided by Nikon School.

10.     A limited quantity of Nikon cameras, lenses and accessories may be made available for sharing and testing purposes only at Nikon School’s discretion on a first-come-first-served basis. Such Nikon cameras, lenses and accessories are not meant to be used by participants as their camera or their backup equipment during the trip.

11.     Nikon School reserves the right to adapt, alter and/or modify the designated itinerary and/or any photography education services provided during the photography trip at its sole discretion.

12.     Participants must follow the designated itinerary strictly throughout the trip. Nikon School shall not be liable to compensate participants for any sessions or visits which they are unable to join or participate in for any reason, including but not limited to changes to the designated itinerary.

13.     While Nikon School will endeavour to provide wet-weather plans, Nikon School cannot and does not warrant or guarantee the availability of any particular subject-matter or scenery available for photography purposes during the photography trip.

14.     A one-time complimentary basic inspection and camera cleaning (except for sensor cleaning) service will be provided for each participant using a Nikon camera before the photography trip at the Nikon Singapore Service Centre, subject to the availability of consumables which may be made available by Nikon School at its discretion on a first-come-first-served basis.

15.     All issues with Nikon cameras beyond cleaning services will be referred to the Nikon Singapore Service Centre and a servicing fee will be charged by Nikon Singapore Service Centre for rendering such services. 

16.     The standard meals and beverages which are included as part of the photography trip package are as mentioned in the itinerary. All other meals and beverages shall be borne by each participant at his/her own personal expense.

17.     On-location round-trip land transfers from the designated hotel to various shooting locations and airport transfers to and from the local Airport are included in the price of the photography trip package.

18.     Participants are personally responsible for strictly adhering to the scheduled reporting / departure timings and/or standing instructions issued by Nikon School at each shooting location. Nikon School reserves the right to commence each photography activity and/or depart each shooting location without participants who are late or fail to report at each schedule time. 

19.     Nikon School shall not in any event be liable for any loss suffered by such participants that are late in the event of any missed transportation and no refunds whatsoever shall be provided by Nikon School.

20.     Personal travel insurance is NOT provided as part of the photography trip package. Participants are encouraged to, and are personally responsible for purchasing their personal travel insurance for the photography trip.

21.     Check-in and check-out times are as stated in the itinerary. 

22.     Early check-in and late check-out times, if available, may be subject to additional charges to be borne by the requesting participant. Nikon School does not guarantee the availability of early check-in and late check-out times. 

23.     Please note that as per standard procedure, a valid credit card or refundable cash deposit may be requested by the hotel to make payment against any additional services or products that you may consume at the hotel during the course of your stay.

24.     Participants are personally responsible for ensuring that their passport will be valid for a minimum period of 6 months, at the time of departure from Singapore.

25.     Participants are responsible for applying for and obtaining their travel visa to the specified country (where required) before the time of their departure from Singapore. Nikon cannot provide any assistance in this respect.

26.     A copy of the participant’s passport must be presented to Nikon School for verification upon payment of the photography trip.

27.     Participants are personally responsible for adhering to the scheduled reporting times and/or departure flight timings. Nikon School shall not be liable for any loss suffered by such late-comers in the event of any missed flights and no refunds shall be provided by Nikon School.

28.     As the individual package is offered at a promotional / discounted price against standard rates, no refunds whatsoever to participants, whether for cancellations, no-show, premature departures or otherwise, will be made by Nikon School under any circumstances. 

29.     In the event that the photography trip is cancelled at the sole discretion of Nikon School, a full refund will be given to all participants unless informed otherwise by Nikon School.

30.     By registering for the photography trip, each participant (or his/her parent/guardian, as may be applicable) acknowledges that he/she has read and agreed to Nikon Singapore Pte Ltd’s Privacy Policy (accessed at https://www.nikon.com.sg/privacypolicy) and further agrees that Nikon School shall be entitled to collect, use and/or disclose his/her personal data for the purposes of providing and administering services for the photography trip. 

31.     By registering for the photography trip, each participant (or his/her parent/guardian, as may be applicable) further acknowledges and agrees that Nikon School may use, produce, publish, process and/or display pictures, photographs, videos and/or other materials bearing his/her portrait / image (whether with or without other persons) which is taken / recorded during his/her participation in the photography trip for Nikon School’s promotional activities and/or media publication(s). 

32.     Each participant (or his/her parent/guardian, as may be applicable) acknowledges the inherent risk involved with such trips and agrees to hold Nikon School harmless against any injury, loss, theft or damage (whether arising from the negligence of Nikon School or otherwise) that may be suffered by the participant arising from or in connection with the photography trip. Nikon School will take reasonable precautions to minimise any risks of personal injury (e.g. avoid dangerous areas and provide written standing orders to participants on dos and don’ts for the trip).

33.     The minimum and/or maximum number of registered participants for the photography trip may be changed by Nikon School at its sole discretion without prior notice. 

34.     The written consent of a participant’s parent/guardian is required for participants under the age of 18, who MUST present an indemnity letter signed by their parent/guardian at the time of payment as a pre-condition to his/her child’s/ward’s participation in the photography trip.

35.     All participants are required to abide by the local laws and house rules of the territories and venues they visit. Further, Nikon School asks that participants respect local customs and cultures.

36.     Nikon School reserves the right to expel any participant from the photography trip without providing any refunds in the event of any inappropriate behaviour by such participant during the trip.

37.     As a pre-condition to their participation in the photography trip, all participants are required to complete, sign and return an indemnity form (which will be issued by Nikon School) to Nikon School during the pre-trip briefing.

38.     All terms and conditions herein may be amended by Nikon School without prior notification.

39.     Except as provided in these terms, all warranties express or implied are excluded. 

40.     These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of Singapore and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore Courts.
