Kahying is a professional photographer and filmmaker based in Singapore with experience in commercial and editorial work. Born and raised in the small town of Kuala Pilah in Malaysia, she first started exploring the world of photography at the age of 16 when she received her first camera.
From the beginning, Kahying’s work has always sought to portray the beauty of the human spirit, finding wonder in the quiet, everyday moments. This passion has led her on a journey of transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary—turning fleeting moments into lasting memories.
WHY NIKON?
Even at the age of 16, something about Nikon drew me in, which led me to convince my dad to buy my first dSLR, a second-hand Nikon D60. Since then, I haven’t looked back—I simply never saw a reason to use anything else. It even took me a while to try the Nikon Z series as I loved my Nikon D750 so much, but once I did, I couldn't imagine shooting with anything else. The bright EVF gave me confidence shooting in bright conditions, and the autofocus was incredible, especially for fashion shoots with fast-moving models. As a hybrid shooter, the availability of N-Log is my favorite feature—the improved dynamic range has drastically elevated the quality of my videos.
