One word: Legacy! Nikon is one of the most widely known camera brands out there.
It was a stroke of luck on how I ended up with Nikon and more specifically, the Nikon Z f right when it was released. I was searching for a new camera because my old gear was becoming outdated and glitchy. The Nikon Z f had exactly what I needed: an upgrade to a full-frame mirrorless camera, offering enhanced ergonomics and portability—ideal for capturing content during my travels. The 5-axis Sensor-shift image stabilization and focus-point stabilization were game changers, especially as I started incorporating more videos into my work.
The Nikon Z f felt incredibly comfortable in my hands. The button placement was intuitive, and the body was noticeably lighter. Trusting my instincts, I chose it, and the rest is history!
