Founder of Moonrise Studio (www.moonrisestudio.co), Debbie Y. is a multi-hyphenate creative, with over a decade of professional photography experience. Her immersion in arts and culture began with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre, enabling her to expand client and partner networks across industries and beyond Singapore.

In recent years, she served as the head producer for the Singapore Grand Prix photography team, the creative director for E-Sports festival Hyperdrive Cities, as well as lead director-producer roles for corporate campaigns with Grand Hyatt Singapore, Nestle Professional and Esplanade.

In 2023, Debbie was engaged as a Nikon Creator to collaborate on the launch of the Nikon Z8 camera, , with her visual works showcased in camera stores and the Nikon Experience Hub in Singapore.

Debbie has also participated in several panel discussions, exhibited her works at Singapore’s Objectifs – Centre for Photography and Film, and hosted workshops for Nikon School of Photography.

WHY NIKON?

My very first camera at 15 years of age was a Nikon D60. I knew I wanted to go with a Nikon as my Dad used to shoot with a Nikon.

Since then, I have always chosen Nikon through every upgrade — Nikon D60, Nikon D600, Nikon D850 and now the Nikon Z8 — Nikon’s colour science is unmatched, offering incredible colour depth and vibrancy. In line with my work, often in low light, Nikon has consistently faired brilliantly, delivering sharp focus and excellent dynamic range even in challenging conditions.

I have always been a Nikon shooter and l always will be.
