Andrew JK Tan is a well-known figure in the Singapore photography community. With over 35 years of experience, his work has been featured in various international media and sold through Getty Images and Picfair. He has also won numerous global photography competitions across a diverse range of themes, including landscapes, wildlife, sports, and portraits. Though he primarily identifies as an action and wildlife photographer, Andrew's versatility spans all genres. Since 2019, he has been sharing his expertise as a Nikon School Instructor and Technical Consultant.

WHY NIKON?

Thanks to my dad, I inherited his film camera and NIKKOR F-mount lenses, so it was just natural to continue using Nikon products. Since then, I have never looked back with Nikon SLR cameras and NIKKOR lenses while photographing different genres and gaining success along the way. As I grew in my journey, I never needed to reconsider using other camera brands, as Nikon's products had everything I wanted and they always performed well above my expectations. In 2018, I switched to Nikon's Z mirrorless solutions. Today, I can't do without my continuously improving Nikon Z8 and Z9 cameras (thanks to firmware updates) and the advanced Z lenses that enable my passion for pushing the boundaries in my photography journey.
