SERVICE ADVISORY FOR NIKON COOLPIX L25 DIGITAL CAMERA

[ 21 January 2014 ]

Thank you for choosing Nikon for your photographic needs.

Nikon has confirmed that in very rare cases, heat generated at the top cover of the COOLPIX L25 digital compact camera may cause it to become deformed.  This issue does not occur unless the camera was subjected to a strong shock, such as a fall, which has resulted in the gap (as shown in the picture below) to be enlarged due to the impact.

To ensure users' peace of mind, Nikon will offer free inspection and repair for the affected COOLPIX L25 cameras on and after 24 January 2014. Cameras that have already been inspected and/or repaired have a white identifying mark at the tripod socket on the bottom of the camera. Kindly contact your nearest Nikon Authorised Service Center if your camera does not have the white identifying mark.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this matter may have caused.

Nikon will continue to take all possible measures to prevent issues like this from occurring again in the future. We hope that you will continue to choose Nikon for your photographic needs.
