The Wireless Transmitter attaches to the camera bottom and connects to the USB 2.0 port to realize wireless transfer of images directly to any IEEE 802.11b compatible access point without restricting movement. When connected, photographs can be uploaded to an ftp server via a wireless network. For security reasons Nikon has included three security protocols to protect your valuable image data being transferred; ESSID, WEP and MAC Address. During data transfer you can continue to shoot and capture images normally, and transmission is automatically retried if it is disrupted for some reason. Power is supplied from the camera.
