Nikon Corporation (Makoto Kimura, President) is preparing for the release of its next-generation flagship model, the D4S Nikon digital SLR camera, and will exhibit it, before official release, at the Nikon booth at the 2014 International CES, to be held Tuesday, January 7 through Friday, January 10, 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada. International CES is one of the world's largest consumer technology exhibitions.
As Nikon's new flagship model, the D4S will offer advances over the Nikon D4 digital SLR camera that include even better image quality enabled with adoption of a new image-processing engine, and more advanced autofocusing performance.
The D4S represents a concentration of Nikon's advanced camera development technologies and long experience. It is a model that offers a higher level of completion as a next-generation flagship camera, and expands the possibilities for professional photographers who always require the best possible performance in severe environments, particularly those in the fields of sports, press, and nature photography, as well as advanced amateur photographers looking for greater power of expression in their photographic works.
Nikon began as an optical device manufacturer developing and manufacturing optical lenses. This year marks the 97th anniversary of the company's establishment. Nikon will continue to develop high-performance, highly functional products based on the optical technologies it has cultivated over its long history.
